Latest Update: 25 April 2020
Due to the understandable concern around the spread of Covid-19, we wanted to let you know where things stand regarding holidays at Ffynnonddewi. As hospitality providers we feel it is our responsibility to keep up to date with the advice provided by the government and we encourage you to do the same.
It continues to be a fast-evolving situation and advice about how we should go about our daily lives is constantly changing. On Thursday 16 April the Government announced a second lockdown period and advised that this would last for at least three weeks.
Since this date there has been no further update regarding when lockdown measures might be lifted however, given that it is unlikely that we will see restrictions on non-essential travel change in the near future, and after consultation with our trade associations we have taken the sad decision to extend the closure of Ffynnonddewi to all guests until at least Friday 29 May. This will continue to be under constant review.
I’m sure that you will understand that not only must we protect our guests, but we live in a small rural community with many vulnerable residents and a large influx of visitors only heightens the risk to them as well as putting a strain on our health system and healthcare workers.
We recognize that these are unsettling times and we want you to know that your safety and wellbeing are our first priority. We are monitoring the situation constantly and will keep this page updated with the latest situation.
We have contacted all guests currently affected. Future guests will be contacted separately as the situation develops. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have at any stage.
We are truly thankful to all of you for your support at this time and we look forward to welcoming you back to Ffynnonddewi as soon as we are able to.
Our very best wishes and stay safe
