Welcome to Ffynnon Ddewi!
In Welsh, Ffynnon Ddewi means “St David’s Well.” Our cottages are named after this ancient well in the adjacent moorland, which was on the original pilgrim’s way to St David’s Cathedral.
At Ffynnon Ddewi we have two Grade II listed properties properties which have recently been converted into luxurious holiday accommodation: a traditional farmhouse called Ffynnon Ddewi and a converted milking parlour called Ty Dewi (“David’s Barn”). More details of these are on separate pages.
Ffynnon Ddewi is set in secluded farm land of about 11 acres and is ideal both for those who want peace and quiet or those want a base for a more active break. Pets are welcome too by arrangement.
The farmhouse and barn are ideal for those wanting peace and quiet, and yet are only minutes away from excellent walking country, the stunning coastal path, and the highly-rated surfing beach at Newgale. With easy access to beaches, sailing, and local water sports, Ffynnon Ddewi is a super base from which to explore the many delights of the St David’s Peninsular and surrounding Welsh countryside. And if you like good food, Solva is renowned for its excellent restaurants and family pubs which serve organic and locally produced food and fresh fish.
